We’re gathering as a community to help take care of this beautiful public space by picking up litter, removing debris, and showing some love to the park that gives us so much. All ages are welcome, and no experience is needed—we’ll provide gloves, bags, and any tools you might need.

Join our Soil Scientist, Tex, for an interactive program on the powerful role worms play in composting. Learn the basics of vermicomposting, how worms improve soil health, and practical tips for setting up a simple countertop compost bin at home.

What to Expect:

On October 7th, Area 2 Farms, Best Bees, and the Ballston BID are teaming up for a community ice cream social in the atrium at Ballston Exchange. Stop by to meet your local farmers and beekeepers, learn how food and honey are produced right here in Arlington, and enjoy ice cream with unique toppings made from farm-fresh herbs and local honey.
