What We Do Not Grow

Area 2 Farms focuses exclusively on lettuces, greens, herbs, and microgreens listed on our Complete Crop List.

If it’s not on that page, we don’t grow or produce it.

Animals & Animal Products

  • No livestock: chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese, quail, goats, sheep, pigs, cows, rabbits, fish/seafood

  • No meat or poultry of any kind

  • No eggs

  • No dairy: milk, cream, butter, cheese, yogurt, kefir, ghee

Fruits (tree fruits, berries, tropical)

  • Apples, pears

  • Stone fruits: peaches, plums, cherries, apricots, nectarines

  • Citrus: oranges, mandarins, lemons, limes, grapefruit

  • Berries: strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, boysenberries, currants, gooseberries, elderberries

  • Grapes (table or wine)

  • Melons: watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew

  • Tropicals: bananas, mangoes, pineapples, papayas, guava, starfruit, passionfruit, dragonfruit

  • Avocado, figs, dates, pomegranates, persimmons, olives

Mushrooms & Fungi

  • Button, cremini, portobello

  • Shiitake, maitake, enoki, lion’s mane

  • Chanterelles, morels, truffles

Flowers & Ornamentals

  • Cut flowers for bouquets (any varieties)

  • Dried flowers, wreath greenery, floral foliage

  • Ornamental grasses and foliage plants

  • Decorative gourds and ornamental pumpkins

  • Corn stalks or other decorative bundle crops

  • Holiday trees/garlands

But we do have:

  • Farm-grown herbs, seedlings, and potted plants available for pickup right at the farm.

Nuts & Tree Crops

  • Almonds, walnuts, pecans, pistachios, cashews, hazelnuts/filberts, macadamia, chestnuts

  • Coconut (and coconut products)

Packaged, Processed & Pantry Goods

  • Bread, flour, grain milling, baking mixes

  • Pasta, tortillas, crackers, granola

  • Sugar, maple syrup, molasses, agave

  • Jams, jellies, marmalades, chutneys

  • Sauces, salsas, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, condiment packs

  • Ferments and cultured items (sauerkraut, kimchi, miso, tempeh, tofu)

  • Nut and seed butters (peanut, almond, tahini, etc.)

  • Ready-to-eat or frozen meals; meal kits; dressings; dips

  • Chocolate and cocoa products

But we do feature:
