Local food is important in the farming world because it supports small-scale farmers, reduces food miles, and promotes sustainable agriculture, like us.

When we eat locally, we support our local economy, reduce our carbon footprint, and can have access to fresher, more nutritious food.

Local food is important for our health, as it is often harvested at peak ripeness and delivered to us quickly, ensuring that we get the most nutrition and flavor possible. When we buy locally, we also support our local community, as local farmers are able to reinvest in their farms, creating jobs and supporting other local businesses.

To farmers, local means selling directly to their local community and building relationships with their customers. This allows our farmers to get feedback on our food, and to tailor the crops to meet the needs and preferences of our customers.

Eating local also means supporting sustainable agriculture, as our farmers are often able to grow crops that are well-suited to their local climate and soil, reducing the need for synthetic pesticides and fertilizers.

When we don't eat local, we rely on food that is shipped long distances, which can result in increased greenhouse gas emissions, lower nutritional value, and less money staying in our local economy.
