Chive Marinade

Big flavor doesn’t have to mean complicated cooking. Chives are one of the easiest ways to add depth and savoriness to everyday meals. This marinade comes together in minutes and works just as well on chicken or steak as it does on vegetables. It’s flexible, bold, and exactly the kind of simple upgrade that makes dinner feel special.

Ingredients

chive marinade
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

  • 1/4 cup olive oil

  • 3 Tbsp chives, chopped

  • 5 garlic cloves, smashed (or 2 tsp garlic powder)

  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Crush the garlic cloves with the side of a knife.

  • Combine the garlic with all remaining ingredients in a bowl or jar.

  • Whisk or shake until fully mixed.

  • Add your meat or vegetables to the marinade, making sure everything is well coated.

  • Marinate for at least 1 hour, or up to 12 hours for deeper flavor. If you’re short on time, 30 minutes will still get the job done.
