  • Amaranth Microgreens

    Amaranth microgreens, are vibrant with red or green stems and small leaves. They have a mild, earthy flavor with a hint of sweetness and are often used to add color and nutrients to dishes. These are among the many microgreens we grow at Area 2 Farms.

  • Arugula

    Arugula, also known as rocket, belongs to the Brassica family (commonly known as the mustard family). This dark leafy green has lobed, tender leaves with a peppery, slightly nutty flavor. We grow wasabi arugula as a specialty item, and also deliver organic arugula in the Arugula Mix lettuce blend. 

  • Basil

    Basil, part of the Lamiaceae family (commonly known as the mint family), is a fragrant herb with bright green, tender leaves. It has a sweet and slightly peppery flavor, with hints of clove and anise. We deliver a living basil plant to our DC metro area community.

  • Bok Choy

  • Broccoli Microgreens

    Broccoli microgreens, members of the Brassica family (commonly known as the mustard family), are tiny, tender shoots with small green leaves and a delicate texture.   • Carrots

    Carrots, part of the Apiaceae family (commonly known as the carrot family), are root vegetables with vibrant orange, yellow, or purple skin and a sweet, earthy flavor.   • Celery

    Celery, part from the Apiaceae family (commonly known as the carrot family), is a crunchy vegetable with a refreshing, slightly peppery flavor. Its stalks are commonly pale green, but we grow both pink and green celery. We also include our organic celery for our mirepoix.

  • Chervil

    Chervil, part of the Apiaceae family (commonly known as the carrot family), is a delicate herb with frilly, green leaves. It has a mild, anise-like flavor and is often used to enhance salads and sauces. You’ll find chervil in our Showstopper Herb Blend.
