Creamy Chive Dip

Creamy, tangy, and super simple to create, this dip highlights the mild onion-like flavor of fresh chives. Serve it with fresh vegetables, crackers, or chips. And for a lighter twist, you can easily swap out sour cream for Greek yogurt without sacrificing flavor.

Creamy Chive Dip

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt for a lighter option. (You can also try half sour cream/half yogurt).

  • 3 tablespoons fresh chives, finely chopped (plus extra for garnish)

  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

  • 1 small garlic clove, finely minced

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

  1. In a medium bowl, combine sour cream (or Greek yogurt), chopped chives, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper.

  2. Stir until all ingredients are evenly incorporated and the dip is smooth.

  3. Taste and adjust seasoning, adding more salt or pepper if needed.

  4. Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with additional chopped chives.

  5. Serve immediately with your favorite dippers, or chill in the fridge for 30 minutes to enhance the flavors.

Serving Suggestions:

Pair this dip with fresh-cut vegetables like carrots, celery, and bell peppers, or serve it with crackers, pita chips, or even warm breadsticks. For an extra kick, sprinkle in a pinch of cayenne pepper or smoked paprika!
