The First Week of Winter Season 2025
Kale Mix
Kale is the highlight of this hearty lettuce blend.
Flavor: Slightly sweet and a little peppery (not bitter).
Health benefit: Rich in antioxidants and fiber.
Tip: Great base for a filling salad.
Seasonal Specialty Microgreen Mix
This mix combines kale microgreens, broccoli microgreens, sunflower shoots, and mizuna microgreens.
Flavor: This mix has all the flavors! It's earthy, nutty, peppery, and slightly sweet.
Health benefit: These microgreens are rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
Tip: Add to stir-fries at the end of cooking for a burst of flavor and color.
Rosemary
This week, you’re receiving a living rosemary plant. Keep it near a window and water when the soil is dry.
Flavor: Earthy, peppery, and a little minty.
Health benefit: The antioxidants in rosemary can help protect skin cells from damage often caused by the sun.

Onions
These mild, green onions don't have a large bulb, and have leaves that retain great flavor.
Flavor: Both sweet and savory, while tender with a little crunch.
Health benefit: Contain a flavanoid called quercetin, which can support your brain health.
Tip: You can chop these onions up to build flavor for warm dishes, but their mild, so you can also eat them raw in salads or use as a garnish.
Flower Cookies
In celebration of the start of our winter season and the holidays, we’ve included these delicious cookies—their locally-sourced and pressed with edible flowers.
