Arugula Mix
Arugula is the highlight of this lettuce mix.
Flavor: Peppery arugula combined with mild lettuces.
Health benefit: Low in calories, high in flavor.
Tip: Eat this mix raw with a simple vinaigrette to enjoy the textures and flavors.
Pea Shoots
These baby pea plants, like other shoots and microgreens, are a mighty source of micronutrients.
Flavor: Sweet, a little grassy, and super crunchy.
Health benefit: Pea shoots have a high amount of vitamin C.
Tip: You can cook these hearty shoots; just use them as you would spinach.
Sage
Sage has over 900 varieties! We grow purple and green sage.
Flavor: Strong, fresh, and earthy.
Health Benefit: Herbs like sage make seasoning low in calories and nutritious.
Tip: Season everything - veggies, meat and more. Or try these Herby Bread Crumbs to top baked shrimp, chicken, or mac n’ cheese.
Turnips
These bright white turnips are fresh, mild and crisp
Flavor: We harvest them young, keeping them crisp with a slight bite, without the bitterness of other varieties
Health Benefit: High water content not only keeps you hydrated, but also helps your kidneys flush out waste.
Tip: You can store these with the tops on; just keep them in the crisper drawer, wrapped in a damp paper towel.
Barley
You’ll love incorporating hearty, nutty barley into your meals thanks to its versatility and wholesome flavor.
Flavor: Mildly nutty with a chewy texture that absorbs flavors beautifully.
Health Benefit: Barley is a rich source of fiber, which supports digestive health, and contains essential nutrients like B vitamins and magnesium.
Tip: Use barley as a base for grain bowls, stir it into soups and stews for added heartiness, or swap it for rice in your favorite pilaf recipe.
