Carrot Top Lettuce Blend

Fun for your tastebuds and featuring your health, this salad mix has crunchy romaine lettuce, buttery, scoop-shaped sweet green tatsoi, and carrot greens — and a delicious dose of calcium, iron, potassium, folate, and vitamins C, A, and K.  

Farmer’s recommendation: The tatsoi and carrot tops blend notes of parsley and mustard, and classic romaine adds a layer of texture and taste. Try the taste of it sautéed, too. Add lemon zest, a pinch of sea salt, and your favorite oil. 

Broccoli Microgreens

It might be mild, but this blend is a tasteful main character. Smooth and nutritious, these microgreens are filled with antioxidants and vitamins A and K. Delicate but crunchy, it’s perfect on its own as the main course! Try adding to our Carrot Top Blend for a large dinner entrée salad.

Farmer’s recommendation: Spice up these microgreens with our freshly harvested radishes to make for a layered flavored salad even before the dressing! We also love it wilted and sprinkled with pink sea salt and truffle oil as a complement to any dish. 

Pea Shoots

Pea Shoots… Pea Scores! The farm fan favorite is back! Rich in vitamins C, K, and A. The fuller, earthier taste makes them a score with our lettuce blends. Eat up and enjoy!

Farmer’s recommendation: These shoots bring texture. Try them in a panini or on bruschetta with an olive oil drizzle. They’ll complement any dish made with horseradish or mustard-based sauces, and stir fry perfectly in a wok or skillet.

Dill

Kind of a big dill! Delicious, daring, and downright delightful, this dynamic aromatic herb will get the job done and seal the dill! Immunity boosting and good for your gut, this herb makes a meal an experience.

Farmer’s recommendation: Discover dill in dozens of dishes! Add to a pesto. Sautée potatoes in olive oil, garlic, and dill. Add to a cold chickpea salad. Anywhere you add lemon or purple shamrock, you can layer the flavor by adding dill: green beans, cucumber salad…

Radishes

Spice up your life! Radishes have vitamin C, folate, calcium, potassium, and fiber. They’ll liven up any salad or sandwich, and look perfect on charcuterie boards. These root vegetables are a natural tonic, and good for detoxing the liver.

Farmer’s recommendation: Our best recommendation is to eat them raw or sliced on top of tacos but we can’t forget how much warmth they bring to sandwiches, dips, and even buttered and roasted as their own dish!

Butterflies & Flowers

You’ll get butterflies over this one! Shamrock leaves have isoflavin, potassium, and calcium, and are a versatile conversation piece that supply magic to any meal. The citrus flavor makes them stand out in our Carrot Top Blend this week. Flutter them into salads, sandwiches, or have them as a snack! 

Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “The earth laughs in flowers.” Add a farm-fresh aesthetic and earthen taste to any dish. Enjoy the late spring harvest deliberately with these antioxidant-rich delicacies. We love them in salads and as decor for a cocktail.
