Tenth Week of Summer Season 2024

Kale Mix

Kale is the highlight of this hearty, frilly lettuce mix.

Flavor: Slightly sweet and a little peppery (not bitter).

Health benefit: Rich in antioxidants and fiber.

Tip: Great base for a filling salad.

Cabbage Microgreens

These young cabbage plants can be widely used in the kitchen.

Flavor: Resembles mature cabbage, but milder and slightly sweet.

Health benefit: Fiber to help you stay regular and support your gut.

Tip: Chop these micros and put them on anything (salads, burgers, and more) to add color and nutrition.

Onions

These mild, green onions don't have a large bulb, and have leaves that retain great flavor.

Flavor: Both sweet and savory, and tender with a little crunch.

Health benefit: Contain a flavanoid called quercetin which can support your brain health.

Tip: Try grilling your onions to get a good char, then drizzle with olive oil and add some salt.

Dill

This bright green and feathery dill is a perfect summer herb.

Flavor: Fresh and grassy with a hint of citrus.

Health Benefits: Great for digestion and sleep.

Tip: A little dill can level-up a pasta salad, and is perfect to season baked fish.

Lemon Balm

Lemon balm will easily become your favorite herb this week.

Flavor: Bright and citrusy

Health benefit: Calms your mind and your digestion.

Tip: Make a tea, a salad dressing, or even use it as mosquito repellent.
