Bringing the farm to the library!
Our farmers will show kids how composting food scraps can enrich soil and grow healthy crops. At this event:
Your local librarian will read a story about George Washington Carver and his advancements to soil science
Our farmers will introduce composting worms, real soil, and show what happens to different plants as they break down in compost
Children will make and decorate their own paper “wiggling worms”
This hands-on workshop is a fun way to teach kids about the importance of cultivating healthy soil and inspire the next generation of growers.
