The Sixth Week of Winter Season 2025
Kale Mix
Kale is the highlight of this hearty, frilly lettuce mix.
Flavor: Slightly sweet and a little peppery (not bitter).
Health benefit: Rich in antioxidants and fiber.
Tip: Great base for a filling salad.
Seasonal Specialty Microgreen Mix
This mix combines kale microgreens, broccoli microgreens, sunflower shoots, and mizuna microgreens.
Flavor: This mix has all the flavors! It's earthy, nutty, peppery, and slightly sweet.
Health benefit: These microgreens are rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
Tip: Add to stir-fries at the end of cooking for a burst of flavor and color.
Italian Herb Blend
Flavor: Earthy, bold, sweet, and slightly peppery.
Health Benefit: Both herbs are rich in antioxidants, but oregano stands out for its high levels of thymol and carvacrol, which have strong antibacterial properties.
Tip: Use this blend as a finishing touch for pasta dishes, pizzas, or soups. Add it towards the end of cooking to preserve the bright, fresh flavors. For an easy appetizer, sprinkle this blend over olive oil for bread dipping.
Onion
These mild, green onions don't have a large bulb, and have leaves that retain great flavor.
Flavor: Both sweet and savory, while tender with a little crunch.
Health Benefit: Contain a flavanoid called quercetin, which can support your brain health.
Tip: Try roasting your onions to get a good char, then drizzle with olive oil and add some salt.
Rosemary Vinegar
You’ll have no problem using up this rosemary-infused vinegar, as it can be used in so many ways.
Flavor: Bright, tangy base with the woodsy, pine-like, undertones of fresgh rosemary.
Health Benefit: Rosemary is known to support digestion and may improve circulation, while vinegar can help regulate blood sugar levels when consumed in moderation.
